Amand began her career as a Developmental Services Worker and has over 20 years of experience supporting individuals with complex needs. Her dedication to making a meaningful impact led her to further her education in Autism and Behavioural Science, with the goal of providing specialized support to individuals on the autism spectrum.

Amanda went on to join the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), where she worked in their Autism Specialized Program. In this role, she developed and implemented individualized programs tailored to each student’s unique needs. Her work focused on supporting students in daily activities, life skills, and enhancing their play and social development.

In addition to her work in educational settings, Amanda has provided ongoing support to families through respite services and other community-based assistance. She is deeply passionate about helping children and their families thrive.

Outside of her professional life, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors and cherishing moments with friends and family.
